Hello Wildhorse family,
On behalf of the entire PACE team, we want to thank you for all the unwavering support and patience as we all move through this uncertain time. We are continuing to closely monitor the current COVID-19 pandemic as we are at a very critical time in British Columbia, in terms of the direction the curve will take. Unfortunately, we can now confirm that the Wildhorse Traverse will not take place as scheduled on May 30, 2020. The information we receive over the next week, however, will help us determine whether we postpone or have to cancel the event. For anyone who has made specific travel plans for the May 30, 2020, event we hope this update allows you time to make the necessary adjustments (if you haven’t already) with minimum consequences. Today is simply about reaching out and communicating where we are currently at in this process. By the end of next week, we will send an email to all the racers with more information regarding the direction of Wildhorse but in the meantime, please refrain from sending any emails until we forward further information. We know you all want more answers, however, please understand that there are a lot of moving parts and we are working hard to pull everything together. There is no higher priority for us than the health and safety of everyone involved and that community is at the very heart of the PACE Trail Series. We want to take this opportunity to let you know that we understand everyone is processing and coping with the current pandemic differently. We also understand that people have different levels of support, stress and responsibilities during this time and that not two people are feeling the same way. For today, please accept a big virtual air hug and allow us to pass along our optimism. We believe in the strength of the Wildhorse community and that we will get through this together and be stronger in the end.
