Formally "Spring Rush", the Nimble Bear has added a 50k option to their event for 2016. After receiving numerous requests from our racers, asking if we would consider making this race an ultra for 2016, we decided to fire it up! The 50k will ultimately be 2 loops of the 27k and I can assure you that Nimble Bear 50k will be both challenging and fun. The trails within Rose Valley Regional Park are like no other in the area. The course is 95% single track and has views of the city and the valley galore. The climbs are challenging and the descents are epic! We also adjusted the 16k course to essentially follow the 50k/27k course around the infamous "figure 8" section in the first 10k of the race. This section has one of the nicest single track pieces in it that feeds runners down loamy trails to the base of the reservoir and then sends them back up a switchback climb to "lone tree", before descending to the north end of the lake. This ever so slight course change will add approx. 2k, making it 18k for the 2016 event and an enhanced course. From the first aid station, the course remains the same as previous years. Registration for the Nimble Bear will open on November 15th. Selling out last year, this is one spring event you won't want to miss out on!
